Net 25cm

This is a standard aquarium net with a 25cm wide frame and a deep mesh pocket for handling medium to large freshwater fish. The handle is constructed from twisted wire, providing enough rigidity to move through water without bending, while the green mesh is soft enough to minimise scale damage during transport.

The 25cm width makes this suitable for tanks 100 litres and larger, where you have the clearance to manoeuvre a wider frame. It is particularly useful for scooping out floating debris or thinning out overgrown floating plants like duckweed or salvinia.

One limitation of this specific size is the thickness of the twisted wire handle; it can flex if you try to lift heavy wet substrate or very large, heavy-bodied fish. For anything over 1kg, you would be better off with a stainless steel reinforced frame to avoid the handle snapping or bending out of shape.
