• Group Size: 6 or more; they are schooling fish and thrive in groups.
• Substrate: Fine sand or smooth, small gravel is essential to protect their delicate barbels as they forage.
• Filtration: Gentle, efficient filtration (e.g., sponge filter or canister filter with baffled outflow) is recommended to maintain water quality without strong currents.
